Men’s Ministry

The Men’s Ministries Department of Brownwood Evangelism Center has a very simple yet profound mission: “To provide strength, encouragement and direction for Christian men as we seek to establish godly leadership in the HOME, CHURCH, WORKPLACE, and the WORLD.” The Men’s Ministry is led by Bro. O.D. Followwell.

On the first Saturday of each month at 7:30 AM, the men of Brownwood Evangelism Center along with their sons, meet for the monthly BROTHERS IN CHRIST breakfast at the Section Hand Restaurant on Highway 377 South. Believing that Christian Fellowship not only is to be desired but pursued, this BIC breakfast provides a venue for godly men to gather together for food, fun, and fellowship. Last but not least, there’s also a time for our pastor to bless and encourage the men with a short devotional.

Several times during the year, other activities such as cook-outs and dinners are held for the men of BEC. One of the highlights of the year for our men is the annual Texas Men’s Fellowship in Lufkin.

S.W.A.T.’s (Spiritual Warfare And Triumph) mission is to provide a spiritual shield of daily intercessory prayer on behalf of the pastor, his family, and BEC. This focused prayer from committed men will increase the power an anointing with which the pastor is able to minister; it will raise the level of depth and commitment of spiritual leadership; and it will help shield our pastor from demonic assaults. As a result, there will be greater liberty for the convicting power of the spirit, development of the congregation beyond its present level and expansion of our capacity for powerful end time revival. S.W.A.T. meets every Sunday morning at 9:50 AM in the prayer room to pray with the pastor.
