Ladies’ Ministry

L.I.G.H.T. (Ladies In Godly Harmony Together) serves the essential need of providing to the wonderful ladies of Brownwood Evangelism Center a wonderful resource of fellowship, encouragement, and relative ministry. The ministry and impact of godly ladies of Brownwood Evangelism Center provide to our congregation cannot be over-emphasized. Solomon said that their value is far above rubies. Leading L.I.G.H.T. is Sis. Nancy Colegrove. She is assisted by the Ladies’ Ministry Committee which consists of Sis. Jeanette Long, Sis. Judy Northcutt, Sis. Deana Foy and Sis. Wanda Followwell.

W.O.W. (Women of Worth) meets every Wednesday morning at 10:30 for a time of intercessory prayer for the church , our families, and the current needs of our church and world. The W.O.W. participants believe whole-heartedly that prayer changes things. “The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous (wo)man availeth much…” W.O.W. is lead by Sis. Judy Northcutt.

Many diversified activities are scheduled through the course of the calendar year for L.I.G.H.T. including lunches, shopping excursions, seminars, ladies conferences, etc. L.I.G.H.T.  Also takes on the responsibility of scheduling and preparing all celebration at BEC including wedding showers, baby showers, graduation parties, etc. Annually, the ladies from Brownwood Evangelism Center attend the Texas Women’s Conference in Lufkin.
